Big Brothers Big Sisters of NYC is one of this year’s charitable organization that we will be representing and we are very excited to work alongside them. BBBS NYC offers a variety of mentoring programs designed to support NYC youth across the five boroughs and targets children that need support and guidance the most, including those living in single-parent homes, growing up in poverty, and coping with parental incarceration. By matching a mentor with a New York City youth, BBBS NYC paves the way for youths to achieve their full potential while create meaningful and long-lasting relationships with their mentors.
As I approach the end of my college studies, I’ve grown to learn key skills that I now use daily while attending meetings or simply having a casual conversation. I no longer shy away from questions, rather question the decisions made from all different approaches in the corporate world. I continue to polish my skills everyday and challenge myself with different adventures, but always remembering where it all started and that has been through the power of mentorship with my mentor.
