Scott Friedman sits on the Management Committee and the Investment Partners Team at Soroban Capital, a multi-billion-dollar global investment firm. Scott builds and monitors comprehensive Risk Analytics for the firm and leads Global Trading. Prior to Soroban Capital, Scott was the Global Head of Trading at TPG-Axon Capital where he designed and led the trading desk analytics/technology/infrastructure across four global offices. He was a Cross-Asset Arbitrage Trader in the proprietary Goldman Sachs Risk Arbitrage & Principal Strategies Group and started his career in 2001 at Goldman Sachs as an Analyst. Scott is a charter holder of both the CFA and FRM, a NYSSA (New York Society of Security Analysts) member and a GARP member. At the start of 2021, the University of Florida was gifted the fastest Artificial Intelligence-rooted Supercomputer on any college campus in U.S. Academia. Inspired by, and joining forces with Chris Malachowsky of Nvidia, Scott gifted and endowed the first Professorship in AI/ML at UF to accelerate faculty work in Machine Learning and applications of Artificial Intelligence in Finance. Scott serves as Vice Chair and Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Success Academy Charter Schools. He founded an Elementary School in New York, which ranks in the top 1% of education in New York State.
