The Council for Economic Education equips nearly 3,500,000 K-12 students annually with the tools and knowledge of personal finance and economics so that they can make better decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities. With a foundational understanding of personal finance and economics, young people can create a better life for themselves and for those around them. Through CEE’s array of programs, we work to make sure financial and economic education is required in K-12 schools; we provide training and tools for teachers to bring the highest quality economics and personal finance instruction to students; and we work to deeply engage students through our competitions and career programs – including our Invest in Girls initiative. CEE’s Invest in Girls program creates the next generation of financially savvy young women and opens pathways for them to careers in fields of finance and financial services.  In the last three years in New York City alone, we’ve provided nearly 1,000 young women access to this unique and high-impact program.

Financial and economic education, knowledge, and understanding are key to unlocking opportunity and prosperity for all. On behalf of the nearly 1,000 girls who took part in Invest in Girls in the NYC area over the last three years, and the over 3.5 million students reached annually through CEE’s nationwide affiliate and educator network, thank you for helping young people gain financial and economic knowledge for life.
